Yorkton Municipal Election 2024 Official Results

The results of the 2024 Yorkton Municipal Election were officially confirmed by 3 p.m. November 14, 2024 by Jessica Matsalla, Returning Officer for The City of Yorkton. The unofficial results were known shortly after polls closed Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

The number of ballots cast in this election was 3,970 compared to 3976 in 2020, which reflects an approximate 25.7% voter turnout. (There are an estimated 15,442 adults in Yorkton according to 2024 SK Health Statistics.)

Safety Patrollers from elementary schools around Yorkton are being recognized for their hard work and commitment to keeping their schools safe.

The role of a Safety Patroller is to help navigate traffic through school zones during busy times, allowing kids to cross the street safely.

The Traffic Signal Upgrade Project aims to enhance traffic flow, improve safety for both motorists and pedestrians and modernize the current traffic signal system. 2024 Water Main Flushing Program

Yorkton residents and business! 

The Public Works Department will begin a water main flushing program on Sunday, August 11, at 8 P.M Starting in the south west corner of the city. This is an essential maintenance procedure, to remove the rust and sediment that has accumulated in the water mains.

For about 12 days from 8 P.M to 6 A.M, each evening during the week, our city crews will be hard at work ensuring water distribution system is in top shape for fire fighters, residents, and businesses.
