The City of Yorkton renews partnership agreement for the Access Communications Water Park

Yorkton, SK – The City of Yorkton and Access Communications Co-operative are excited to announce today the renewal of their partnership agreement for the naming rights to the Access Communications Water Park in the Gallagher Centre.
As part of the agreement, the Gallagher Centre will continue to feature free public Wi-Fi internet service throughout the complex, allowing guests to easily connect and interact online.

City Council approves 2023 Operating and 2023/2024 Capital Budgets

Yorkton City Council approved the 2023 Operating and 2023/2024 Capital Budgets at last night’s council meeting. The City thanks all residents, organizations and business owners in Yorkton who filled out the online Public Review form, the pre-budget survey, or spoke to City Council in the weeks leading up to the budget review.

Yorkton City Council passed a motion at the January 30, 2023 Council Meeting, to rescind parts of their December 5, 2022 resolution which directed Administration to proceed to tender for Phase 1 of the Columbia Park Development project. As a result of City Council’s December 5 resolution below, the Columbia Park Development Project has been put on hold:

City of Yorkton participates in 50th Anniversary of Saskatchewan Winter Games

The City of Yorkton is participating in the Saskatchewan Games Flag Exchange Project, part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Saskatchewan Games. Past Saskatchewan Games host communities were invited to send their city flag to be part of a colour guard at the 2023 Winter Games, and be displayed at the entrance to the athlete’s village during the games.
