The City of Yorkton is joining CN Police Service (CNPS) in educating our community about rail safety during Rail Safety Week, September 19 - 25. This week is dedicated to increasing awareness about staying safe around railway crossings and tracks.

Circlebrooke Drive between Glenbrooke Drive and Riverview Road will be closed starting Friday, September 16 for a watermain replacement.
Please be advised street parking in this area will be restricted during construction. Vehicles parked on the street during this time may be at the owner’s expense. Signage will be posted by the Contractor to identify street closures and detours.

PST Applied to Recreation Admissions and Passes

Effective October 1, 2022, and as per provincial regulations, Provincial Sales Tax (PST) applies to the total charge for taxable admissions, entertainment, and certain recreation items in Saskatchewan.
PST will be collected on admission fees, participation fees, activity fees, and punch passes as they relate to the Access Communications Water Park, indoor walking tracks, racquetball/squash memberships, and drop in sports, and other similar items.

Non-beverage glass jars now accepted at SARCAN in Yorkton

Starting today, September 6, you can now recycle your non-beverage glass containers at our Yorkton SARCAN Depot, which is operated by SaskAbilities. This includes containers like:
- Food jars (pickles, condiments, jams/jellies, sauces, peanut butter, salsa, vegetables)
- Food bottles (vinegar, oils)
- Baby juice bottles
- Canning jars (used for home canning)
- Glass storage containers
Containers should be as clean as possible before being dropped off at SARCAN. Lids must be removed and can be recycled...
