The City of Yorkton is hosting a free pancake breakfast and unveiling ceremony for the new downtown bike lock design and you're invited!  

Come down to City Centre Park today! (June 27, 2022)
  • Pancake breakfast - 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Opening ceremonies beginning at 10:30 a.m.
  • Presentations and ribbon cutting to follow

June 23 Storm Update

Yesterday, Yorkton experienced heavy rain and hail throughout the City. City crews worked throughout the evening and overnight to address flooded intersections, manhole covers and other flood-related issues on roadways.

Water has receded from flooded streets and most intersections were clear for today’s commute. City crews continue to clear catch basin covers from debris as well as remove barricades from areas of concern.

Government of Canada invests to revitalize community space in Yorkton

The Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF) is helping communities across Canada build and improve community infrastructure so they can rebound from the effects of the pandemic. 

The City of Yorkton received $450,000 through Prairies Economic Development Canada, to upgrade the dehumidifier and air exchange system at the Access Communications Water Park.
