2022 Bicycle Rodeo Kickoff

The ninth annual Yorkton Bike Rodeo kicks off this week from May 16-20, 2022. Grade three students from all eight elementary schools in Yorkton will have the opportunity learn basic bike safety skills, tune up their bikes and practice on an obstacle course. 

The program is a continuation of Bicycle Safety Week and was kicked off at Dr. Brass Elementary school today.

Spring Clean Up Week 2022

Participate in Spring Clean Up Week from May 9-14, 2022. 

Yorkton residents and schools can dispose of their winter debris at the Yorkton Landfill for free during this time. Landfill hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Spring Clean Up Week is open to City of Yorkton residents and schools within the city.

City Launches New Emergency Communication System

The City of Yorkton is pleased to announce its new emergency communication system, Voyent Alert! smart notification service.

Voyent Alert! is a multi-purpose communication service used to send alerts to residents, businesses, and visitors during critical events like extreme weather, fires or floods, as well as for relevant day-to-day communications such as snow removal advisories, construction, road closures and water advisories.

Snow Route Parking Ban in effect - April 14, 2022

A city-wide clearing operation is currently in progress beginning with Priority 1; highways surrounding the City, main streets and sidewalks, and emergency routes; followed by Priority 2; collector streets. A Snow Route Parking Ban will be in effect starting tonight, Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 11 p.m. till 7 a.m.
