York Road Reconstruction Phase 5

Phase 4 is 80% complete, completion of this phase is expected as soon as possible, but recent weather has caused some delays. Phase 5 of the York Road Reconstruction will begin Monday, July 8, 2024.

Road Closures along York Road will be extended from First Avenue North to Gladstone Avenue North, with a detour in place on Second Avenue North for local traffic and vehicles accessing business along York Road.

Water Main Replacement and Road Closure on McBurney Drive Starting Monday, May 13, 2024

McBurney Drive between McNeil Crescent and Matheson Crescent will be closed starting Monday, May 13, for a water main replacement. 

Please be advised street parking in this area will be restricted during construction. Affected residents will receive a letter from the contractor, Ungar Construction, before construction and signage will be posted by Ungar Construction to identify street closures and detours.

Water Main Replacement on Circlebrooke Drive UPDATE - October 31, 2023

Despite a pavement delay, Circlebrook Drive (between Riverview Road and Parkview Road) is open for winter with a temporary base coarse surface. Paving completion is set for spring 2024.

York Road Reconstruction - Phase 4 Update

Phases 2 and 3 are complete, and the roadway is fully open for the winter season.

There will be a temporary transition to help navigate traffic between the completed portion of the road and the road to be completed during phase 4, coming up in 2024.

Phase 4 is expected to start in the spring of 2024, and it is anticipated to be completed by the fall of 2024, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
