Proposed 2025 Operating and Capital Budgets Available for Public ReviewThe City of Yorkton has released its proposed 2025 budget, which includes an increase in total taxation revenue of $1,142,000 (or 3.9%).

Free Parking in Downtown City Owned Lots

Parking in the downtown City owned parking lots will be free from February 10-14, 2025.
To encourage business activity in the downtown area of Yorkton, City Council voted in favour of offering additional free parking weeks in the downtown City owned parking lots at the November 25, 2024 Council Meeting.
Stay tuned for more free parking weeks throughout 2025.

Details: Yorkton City Council will consider Bylaw No. 5/2025, a text amendment to Bylaw No. 14/2003, to remove land use “Planned Unit Development” and replace with the land use “Dwelling Group”. The amendment will also include Special Use Standards for Dwelling Groups.
