The City of Yorkton will have a number of adjusted hours of operation on Monday, July 3, 2023.
City Hall
- Closed on Monday, July 3, 2023 and will reopen Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at 8 a.m.
Public Works
- Closed on Monday, July 3, 2023 and will reopen Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at 7 a.m.
- Report a Concern online or for immediate emergencies dial 306-786-1760.

- There are no changes to residential garbage collection

Yorkton Celebrates the Dedication of the Deer Park Golf Course Clubhouse

The City of Yorkton unveiled a plaque dedicating the Deer Park Clubhouse to mark the completion of the construction project. In January 2022, City Council approved the Deer Park Clubhouse Construction Project with a budget of $7.2 million dollars. The budget included a new build, along with the installation of City water and sewer.

Stay alert when entering a work zone

City crews and contractors take the time to set up safe work areas, including setting up barricades, pylons and signs that advise motorists and members of the public to stop, take an alternate route or slow down because there are workers and potential danger ahead.
Creating these work areas ensures the protection of City staff, contractors, and the protection of the public. Our Community Safety Officers monitor motorist activity at all work zones throughout the city.

Smith Street closed for paving between 2 Ave N and Myrtle Ave starting Sunday, June 25, 2023

Smith Street will be closed between 2 Avenue N to Myrtle Avenue on Sunday, June 25 for road improvements. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone.
This project will take place in two phases. Phase 1 starting Sunday, June 25 the westbound lane will be closed followed by Phase 2 with the closure of the eastbound lane.
This project is expected to take two weeks, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Composting is the process of breaking down organics (such as grass clippings, garden plant materials, and dried leaves) into a rich soil amendment.
As waste volumes increase, the space at the landfill decreases. Keeping organic waste out of the landfill reduces the strain on garbage collection systems and increases the lifespan of landfills.
