Smith Street Median, Curb and Sidewalk Repairs

Smith Street will have limited parking between 2nd Avenue N and Myrtle Avenue starting June 7, 2023, for median, curb and sidewalk repairs. This project is expected to take approximately one month, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
“No parking” signs will be placed along the areas affected. Please use caution when approaching a work zone.

Yorkton Celebrates Official Opening of the Logan Green Pathway Project

Today, the City of Yorkton celebrated as part of Parks and Recreation Month the official opening of their $832,890 Logan Green Pathway Project, which was funded in part by the federal and provincial governments.
Construction on the project began in the summer of 2021. Work involved retrofitting and upgrading an existing 2.23 kilometre-long gravel pathway to pavement, along with the installation of solar lights and associated works. Construction was completed last year.

Phase 1 of the York Road Reconstruction project will begin today, Thursday, June 1.
Road Closures along York Road will be extended to 7 Avenue North, with a detour in place on Imperial Street for local traffic and vehicles accessing businesses along York Road.
Phase 1A road closures will continue to be in place for approximately three weeks, with temporary roadway access to Yorkton Concrete Ltd., EECOL Electric, and Quality Tire Service.

Phase 2A of the Water Main Replacement program will take place starting Monday, May 29. The road will be closed on Circlebrooke Drive between Crestwood Crescent and Parkview Road. Phase 1 will also continue to be closed on Circlebrooke Drive between Glenbrooke Drive and Riverview Road.
