A recycling awareness campaign was organized by RecyclAbility Enterprises in honor of Earth Day on April 22.
"Invest In Our Planet" was the theme of the campaign initiated by RecyclAbility Enterprises. It was a recycling awareness event to celebrate Earth Day. Touring the recycling operation aims to show how the community of Yorkton successfully processed recyclable materials in the recycling facility.

Participate in Spring Clean Up Week from May 9-14, 2022.
Yorkton residents and schools can dispose of their winter debris at the Yorkton Landfill for free during this time. Landfill hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Spring Clean Up Week is open to City of Yorkton residents and schools within the city.

Spring Street Sweeping Schedule

Residential street sweeping will begin on Monday, May 9, 2022.
The sweeper will be out in two shifts from 11pm - 9am and 9am - 5pm.

The City of Yorkton is pleased to announce its new emergency communication system, Voyent Alert! smart notification service.
Voyent Alert! is a multi-purpose communication service used to send alerts to residents, businesses, and visitors during critical events like extreme weather, fires or floods, as well as for relevant day-to-day communications such as snow removal advisories, construction, road closures and water advisories.

Spring has sprung in Yorkton! The Environmental Committee has initiated the “Annual Spring Yard Cleanup Week''. The cleanup week is organized to encourage the school divisions and neighbourhoods to clean up the yards and school grounds.
