Building Permits
Provincial Legislation (the Construction Codes Act) requires municipalities to regulate building construction. Whenever you are planning to construct, place, alter, repair, renovate, demolish, remove, add or change any building or residence within the City of Yorkton, you may require a Building Permit. What are the risks of working without a required Building Permit? |
As an owner, you are responsible for any fees or penalties that arise from not obtaining a Building Permit. If work has already started without a Building Permit you will face the following penalties:

Residential Building Permits

What is the application process for a Commercial or Residential Building Permit?

After issuance of your Building Permit you can:

Step 5: Occupy building |

After passing the final inspection, you will receive an Occupancy Permit. An Occupancy Permit will allow you to use the space as defined in your Permit. |
