2023 RCMP Bike Safety Rodeo kicks off today, Monday, May 15 at M.C. Knoll School
The Yorkton RCMP is pleased to host their annual Grade three Bike Safety Rodeo again this year from May 15-18, 2023. Rodeos will take place at each of the eight elementary schools in Yorkton which will total 260 students.
The kick-off event takes place today, Monday, May 15 with M.C. Knoll Elementary School at the Heritage Baptist Church Parking Lot off of Darlington St. E.
Students will do some in class safety lessons as well as participate in the obstacle course on the day of the rodeo. Each grade three student will receive a brand-new helmet and the chance to win a bike or other prizes. The program is an initiative of the local RCMP Detachment and is sponsored by Painted Hand CDC; Kinsmen Club of Yorkton; SGI; Hometown Source for Sports; Canadian Tire; and Yorkton Fire Protective Services.
Participating elementary schools include St. Mary’s, Columbia, St. Michael’s, M.C. Knoll, St. Paul’s, St. Alphonsus, Yorkdale, and Dr. Brass.
