Education property taxes are collected by the City of Yorkton on behalf of the Public and Catholic School Divisions.
When properties change ownership, the education tax allocation defaults to the Public School Division. If you would like your education property tax dollars to support the Catholic School Division (Separate) fill out and submit the form for Individuals or the form for Corporations. Completed forms can be submitted online or may be delivered by mail, email or in person to the Assessment and Taxation department at City Hall.
Corporations have the option to split a percentage between the Public and Catholic School Divisions.
School support declarations received by May 1 will be used for current year tax calculations. Declarations received after May 1 will take effect the following tax year.
