City Grateful for Kinsmen Club Donation
At a media event held at the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton’s Clubhouse on January 27, 2025, Mayor Aaron Kienle graciously accepted a donation from the Club towards the Kinsmen Arena renovation project. The donation of $220,000.00 will go towards replacement of the rink boards and glass, an essential part of the project.
“On behalf of our City Council and the entire City of Yorkton, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton for their generous financial contribution to the Kinsmen Arena renovation project.” said Mayor Kienle at the event. “Your support is instrumental in ensuring the continued success of this important facility, and we are truly grateful for your commitment.”
Mayor Kienle also recognized the Club’s involvement in the City outside of the arena
renovation. “Beyond this project, we also want to acknowledge and appreciate the Kinsmen Club’s longstanding dedication to our community. Your ongoing efforts to enhance Yorkton’s recreational facilities, host events and support various initiatives over the years have made a lasting impact.” said the Mayor.
Progress continues on the Kinsmen Arena project, with current work underway to remove lead paint from within the arena area. After this abatement is completed, demolition and excavation of the concrete floor and ground materials will move forward.
